I just finished reading Andy McBean & The War of the Worlds. It is a great story, and very suitable for younger readers too. Andy McBean is a kid who survived cancer, his parents are too protective of him now. Everything changes when that big meteor lands on their front lawn, and it turned out to be part of an alien invasion force.I gave it 5 stars. It is FREE for download at Amazon right now, I don't know how long that will last.
